Nestled in the lush native surroundings of the Waitākere Ranges, this unique property was designed to fully embrace the natural landscape and available space. The project includes a main residence and a minor dwelling for the owner’s mother — both connected by a striking sheltered walkway that runs alongside an in-situ concrete wall and pool, creating a seamless indoor-outdoor flow.
The design prioritises vast outdoor living areas, positioned to sit lightly within the bush-clad site while making the most of the sun, views, and privacy. The connection between the two dwellings balances independence with proximity, allowing for multi-generational living without compromise.
Every element — from the considered positioning of structures to the interplay of concrete, timber, and glass — reflects a deep respect for the environment and a commitment to modern, functional living in a breathtaking natural setting.
